What is an Information Marketer, anyway?

I know the first time I heard anyone use the term, “information marketer”, the image that popped into my mind was that of one of those young boys waving a newspaper and yelling “Extra! Extra! Read all about it!”

But that is not at all what we mean by information marketer today. In fact, you just might be surprised to find that you fall somewhere within this industry yourself.

Do you promote or sell any sort of training, how-to information or opportunity through the use of books, manuals, audio/video programs, newsletters, courses, online courses, seminars, conferences, speaking engagements, coaching, membership programs or something related?

It’s hard to define information marketing because we have to cast such a wide net to cover it all.
